Abhishek and Aishwarya have tied the knot secretly at Madurai temple - few days back a Mumbai based tabloid reported that. But not many believed. However after yesterday’s incident in Varanasi, where at Kashi Vishwanath temple, Abhishek and Aishwarya performed a series of pujas in a way only a “married couple” does, the rumour about Abhishek-Aishwarya’s marriage reached at the end of climax overnight.


At Sankat Mochan temple at Varanasi, Abhishek and Aishwarya together took part in the ritual called havan and yash-kirti yagna, and to surprise of many, Aishwarya sat on Abhishek’s left - as a wife would under Hindu rituals.


The rumour also has it that Abhishek and Aishwarya exchanged rings during the religious ceremonies.


And before they came to Sankat Mochan temple, Abhishek and Aishwarya performed ‘jalabhishek’ at the main Kashi Vishwanath temple, that’s pouring water or milk on the Shivaling. On asked about the puja by Abhishek and Aishwarya, a priest told reporters he asked them “to offer sacred water to the deity like Amitji and Jayaji”.


Besides Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, present at the ceremonies were their daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda, brother Ajitabh and his daughter Namrata. Family friend and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh was also present.


However to know officially whether Abhishek and Aishwarya have already married or not, you have to wait till they open their mouth in this regard.
