The Bachchan clan including Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek, and Shweta were recently spotted in Varanasi. There has been a lot of speculation about Abhishek Bachchan and his off-screen romance with the beautiful Aishwarya Rai; however both the actors have always denied their personal relationship. However after making tall claims that she is not seeing Abhishek and they have unnecessarily been linked together, Ash was also seen with the family in Varanasi. The entire Bachchan family flew to Varanasi to perform a pooja on the 99th birthday of Harivanshrai Bachchan, father of Amitabh. Ash was also seen performing the pooja with the Bachchans.


However after the media spotted Ash and Abhishek, the media went into a frenzy speculating that the actors had come to Varanasi to tie the knot, however Ash’s parents were not present and hence it was not likely to be the big day yet. Amitabh’s brother Ajitabh and his daughter Namrata as well as Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh were also present for the pooja. The pooja was performed at Kashi Vishwanath and Sankat Mochan temples and the clan took part in the Mangla Aarti and Rudra Abhishek rituals. A priest at the Kashi Vishwanath temple confirmed that the Bachchans and Ash had come to perform pooja, priest Srikant Tripathi said “They performed the rituals with great zeal, Amitabh and Jaya offered the ‘jalabhishek’ (offering water to the deity). I also asked Abhishek and Aishwarya to do so.”


However there were various rumours circulating that the pooja being performed was to ward off any bad omen from both Ash and Abhishek’s horoscopes. Recently Abhishek and his family were apparently upset with Ash due to her skimpy outfits and smooch scene with Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2, however the lovers spat seems to have dwindled off now after they were spotted together. Ash is very close to the family and hence she was invited to be part of there rituals. There are also rumours that Ash and Abhi may tie the knot early next year, so perhaps Ash is already taking her right full place with the Bachchan family. Ash and Abhi will also be seen together in their next film, Mani Ratnam’s Guru which will be releasing in December.
