Hollywood star Tom Cruise believes that human beings are not alone in this vast universe.
Cruise, who has been promoting his forthcoming science fiction movie ‘War of the Worlds’, admitted to a German newspaper that he believes in aliens.
When asked by the German tabloid Bild whether he believed that living beings existed on planets other than the Earth, Cruise told the daily: “Yes, of course (I believe in aliens). Are you really so arrogant as to believe we are alone in this universe?
“Millions of stars, and we’re supposed to be the only living creatures? No. There are many things out there, we just don’t know,” Cruise is quoted by the German tabloid.
Cruise is a long-time follower of the controversial Church of Scientology and is believed to be converting his fiancée Katie Holmes to the religion.
Cruise’s latest film ‘War of the Worlds’ is a sci-fi thriller based on British writer HG Wells’ story of the invasion of Earth by Martians.
