“Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan had a fight at Enigma at J W Marriott last night.”

While Sanjay Dutt today dismissed as “baseless” media reports alleging he had a brawl with actor Salman Khan in a disco pub on Saturday night.

Saleem Khan, Dutt’s personal assistant, said the media reports were “false” as no such thing happened between Sanjay and Salman.

But insiders claim that having let fellow actor Salman Khan ruffle his feathers, a ‘tipsy’ Sanjay Dutt roughed up some youth partying at the Enigma discotheque in JW Marriott Hotel, Juhu, on Saturday night when they tried to capture a piece of the star-tiff on their camera phones, it is learnt.

According to a source, Dutt and Khan were making the most of the weekend when Khan apparently went too far and teased Dutt. Following this, the two entered in an argument, which a few youth, dancing with their girlfriends, tried to capture on their camera phones.

While Salman left the place, Sanjay turned his ire on the youth and started hitting and abusing them. He said they had no business clicking his snaps. A few glasses were also broken in the process, it is learnt. All this happened around 1 am.

While the brawl was on, a corporate of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) from Thane, Pratap Sarnaik, walked into the disco with his friends. “When I saw Sanjay in action, I intervened. I identified myself and told him that his behavior was unbecoming of the son of a Union minister. At this, Sanjay abused the Congress. I asked him to behave himself. Meanwhile, bouncers at the disco stepped in and escorted Sanjay out of the disco. They did not rough him up, but politely led him out of the place,” Sarnaik told.
