Rapper and actor DMX was arrested last night, after he was involved in a three-car collision involving a police cruiser Friday. The driver of the car DMX initially struck was treated for minor injuries and released.

DMX (real name Earl Simmons) was driving a 2005 Dodge Magnum in heavy traffic on the Major Deegan Expressway at about 8 pm when his car struck the rear of another vehicle, sending it into a NY City police cruiser.

The rapper was released after being charged for driving with a suspended license.

DMX landed in jail last year for weapon and drug possession, and criminal impersonation after trying to steal a car then crashing into another vehicle through a parking lot gate at New York’s Kennedy Airport.

DMX has appeared in few action flicks like Exit Wounds (2001, starring Steven Segal), Romeo Must Die (2000) and Cradle 2 the Grave (2003).
