Rajkumar Santoshi must have been rejected by Aishwarya for ‘Saamna’ but he is not losing hope for sure. He has offered two films to his favorite actress, one is ‘Ladies And Gentlemen’ and another is an untitled project.
Ash’s business manager Harii Singh confirmed the news but said that all this will depend upon Aishwarya dates availability and whether her dates will be suitable for Santoshi’s film.
He says Aishwarya has always been Santoshi’s favorite actress, “Given the opportunity, he would love to cast her in all his films. In fact, every time he starts a film, he makes it a point to ask Aishwarya first before he approaches any other actress.”
“On her part, Aishwarya also likes working with him, after the great experience she had working in ‘Khakee’, but we are trying to work out her dates”, says Singh.
Reacting to Aishwarya opting out of Saamna he said, “We were supposed to finish ‘Saamna’ last year in May-June but it had to take a backseat because Santoshi’s other film ‘Family’ starring Amitabh Bachchan got delayed due to Bachchan’s health problems.”
“‘Family’ was launched first so it had to be completed first. By the time Santoshi wrapped it up there weren’t any dates available with Aishwarya, as a result she had to opt out of the film.”
Aishwarya is one of the busiest actresses in Bollywood. She has three Hollywood films and three Bollywood films lined for release this year - Paul Berges’ ‘Mistress of Spices‘, Jagmohan Mundra’s ‘Provoked‘, Doug Lefler’s ‘The Last Legion‘, J.P. Dutta’s ‘Umrao Jaan‘, Yash Raj Films’ ‘Dhoom 2‘ and Mani Ratnam’s untitled film starring Abhishek Bachchan.
