Aishwarya Rai has many endorsements products to her credit but she has reportedly turned down an offer to endorse a mineral water product named after the holy river Ganga, in America.

She declined the offer as she felt that it would be wrong to portray that the Ganga has come to America (endorsement was meant to be in America only). Also a mineral water with the name Ganga could become a sensitive issue back home where the river is revered by Hindus.

Her representatives believe that she has a certain image and the products she is associated with are chosen carefully. It is not a matter of money, but responsibility toward her country and admirers.

Ash may have become an international star but her heart lies in India.
