This week will see a new twist on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005. Among the three contestants Hyderabadi Hemachandra will be ousted from the race due to less number of votes.

This week show which has Tabu as a guest, got record breaking votes - 1 crore 25 lakh. Top grosser Debojit received 40 lakh votes from the Eastern region alone.

Hemachandra guru Aadesh Shrivastava disappointed at regional bias said, “The motto behind Sa Re Ga Ma Pa was supposed to be ‘Aapki Choice India ki Voice.’ But how can it be the nation’s voice when one sector corners all the votes for one candidate? I’m worried.”

However producer-director of the show Gajendra Singh doesn’t see this as bias, “As long as it’s public opinion, we needn’t question it,” he says. He thinks both contestants Debojit and Vinit are equally worthy of winning the final round. He also revealed that Tabu’s judgment to the singers was like a true artiste. “Her rapport with fellow-hyderabadi Hemachandra was instant,” says Singh.

On Friday as promised Subhash Ghai will come back on the show and this time with his ‘Shaadi Se Pehle’ lead actor Akshaye Khanna. The actual Grand Final will be on February 24 and till that time some special rounds will be featured where the two contenders will have to sing along with top singers of today Sunidhi Chuahan, Kunal Ganjawala, Shaan and Shreya Ghosal.
