Music Review: Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Capturing emotions and romance in music, fun songs having dhol beats and Punjabi lyrics are the attractions of Yash Raj Banner movie music albums and “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” has all of these along with western beats songs .The music of “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” has been composed by Salim – Sulaiman and lyrics of the songs are by Jaideep Sahni.

“Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai” - The theme of the song “Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai” is to gratify love to equate it to godly emotions. The song is in voice of Roop Kumar Rathod and the lyrics are pious and music is soft that starts with “santoor” sounds . The music is sweet having highly energetic beatings in background.

Another version of the song is present in the album in voice of Shreya Ghoshal. The second version is short and lovable one and it is good to hear.

“Haule Haule” –The best song of the album is “Haule Haule”, that is a romantic number and it is shown in the promotional of the film. The song comes with desi tunes on harmonium and the lyrics mean “slowly you get in love.” You even have the desi kind of “Sa re ga ma” chants with harmonium sounds and you could hear Sukhwinder Singh singing the song in melodious voice. The song is full of Punjabi lyrics like “Din jindari de chaar. “

“Dance Pe Chance” – The song “Dance Pe Chance” is in voice of Sunidhi Chauhan and Labh Janjua and the theme is “it is very simple to sing and dance”. This is a situation number in which the actress is teaching the man in centre, to dance, “Wo banda hi kya hai jo naache na gawe.” This appears to be a good number, if you could imagine the lead actors of the film in the song while hearing the song otherwise the song is average to hear.

“Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte” –The song is in voice of Sonu Nigam and it appears to be a song where you have many songs of previous eras from 50s, 60’s ,70’s,80’s and 90’s .Lyrics of the song is ,all names of films and music of the song has been taken from many famous songs that come one by one , which include “Pyar Hua,”” Sangam ,”” Teesri Manzil’s background of “Aaja Aaja ..” , “Yahooooo” ,”Hum Hai Raahi Pyaar Ke”, ”Phir milenge”. The choreography of the film will be worth watching.
“Dancing Jodi” – The music of the song starts like the instrumental of “Dil to Pagal hai” dance number and later it picks up differently having varied tunes. It will be worth to watch the dance on this instrumental number. You have high beats and even “shehnai “sounds in this one. Music is ok to hear.

The album has one song “Haule Haule” that has the potential to be a chartbuster. Most of other songs are situational numbers having inputs of fun and entertainment.
