Hello Admin

Is it possible to provide facility to attach pictures uploaded directly from PC, along with the posts?

Would be wonderful if made possible.

Thanks in advance

It is but it will slow the board down - terribly in the long run. SO I have turned it off for now.

Why not try to upload at a free website I use: [ http://imageshack.us/ ]

Image Upload at this website is very easy and they provide a variety of options - Thumbnail, Link, Direct Image etc etc.

:( thnx but like that there's Photobucket too... hassle is the double work involved - first upload, then copy paste the link... etc etc...

Hope you reconsider ;)

yes I agree Angel but hosting images would require an Increase in Hosting Charges, Server Load Triples and BOARD becomes too slow as someone otther is hosting/uploading photos.

Then there is LEGAL issue too:
SOMEONE "UPLOADS" PORNOGRAPHIC images on our server and it is caught the mods of this board are heading to jail :D

The practice most boards are following is using external image and file hosting solutions.

By they way I noticed you are a moderator yourself :). Congrats.

We have high viewship but a very low contribution level at this forum. I can easily increase that by making this forum a members only...

i.e. Anyone can read the topics of this forum. He needn't be a member of this Forum. Now, people come read the topics and go away. If there is restriction clause they would be forced to register before being able to see anything. That way we would have large member base and more contribution.

But again it would mean forcing someone to register! what do you say?

  Umm.. I dont think so.. well that may increase the number of registered members, but it wont guarantee that they'll contribute too  - the already existing members are not doing so any way...

and , ppl like to check out forums before registering.

anyway, thanx... :)
