Pakistan cricket coach Woolmer Found Dead, aged 58
BOB Woolmer, the former Kent and England batsman, has died after being found unconscious in his hotel room in the West Indies.
Woolmer, who was coach to the Pakistan team at the Cricket World Cup, died after being found unconscious in his hotel room.
The 58-year-old was discovered in his room yesterday morning, and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital - but he did not recover.
He had yesterday watched his Pakistan team suffer a shock defeat against Ireland to become the first country knocked out of the 2007 World Cup.
A team spokesman confirmed that Woolmer was pronounced dead early this afternoon.
