View Full Version : Salman Khan may kick off awards show

It is rumoured that he may be the opening act in the prestigious annual film awards show organised by India?s satellite broadcasting network Zee Network.


Salman, whose film career started in 1988, has acted in more than 60 films to date, including blockbusters Hum Apke Hain Koun…! (1994) and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). His latest movie Salaam-e-Ishq was released recently.


Other Bollywood stars slated to perform for the night include Preity Zinta and Priyanka Chopra, and engaged couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai.


Vinod Khanna, the 60-year-old Indian actor, film producer and politician has been named the recipient of the 10th Zee Cine?s Lifetime Achievement Award.


Known for his dusky features, Vinod starred in many hit films throughout the ?70s and ?80s which included Amar Akbar Anthony (1977), Muqaddar Ka Sikander (1978) and Qurbani (1980). Vinod was also conferred the FilmFare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000.


The stars are expected to fly in to Kuala Lumpur from March 30.


The 10th Zee Cine Awards will be aired live over Zee TV (Astro Channel 21) and the event will be hosted by eminent Bollywood director Karan Johar.
