Vinay and Chaitna Jain with their new born baby boy Ranveer Jain On October 6, Vinay Jain (Aryan of Sony's Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin) became the proud father of a baby boy. The actor was present with his wife in the labour room until the baby was born, at Bombay Hospital.

"It was an incredible sight to see a life emerging. In fact, I helped her a lot with breathing exercises," says Vinay, and adds that Chaitna wanted him (and not her mom or mom-in-law) to be present with her. "She knows I am calm and collected. The elderly ladies tend to get emotional and nervous."
He wanted a boy The newborn has been named Ranveer. "Both families came up with lot of names, but Chaitna and I took the final call," says the beaming dad. Did they want a boy or a girl? "If you're pushing for an answer, let me tell you that I wanted a boy and Chaitna wanted a girl."
Vinay and Chaitna first connected at spiritual level. "We met three years ago at a relative's place in Colaba, amid Buddhist chants. Down the line, we discovered we had similar goals in life. I think such relationships are meant to be forever, rather than those which are born out of physical attraction."
Honeymoon baby Chaitna, a Sindhi girl, was working in OandM. "She quit her job after marriage. Ranveer is a honeymoon baby," says the Rajasthani Vinay.
The couple, who were married on January 5 this year, had gone on a honeymoon to Singapore and Mauritius.
Did Vinay take paternity leave? "Oh yeah, I guess I had to. I was home fifteen days. Day before yesterday, I went back to Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin." Vinay is also a part of Remix (for which he shot yesterday) and the play, Two To Tango (co-starring Tanaaz Currim).
