SRK and his ‘conspiracy’ for Salman’s bash!
by Debasis Jana

Actor Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were having their big bashes on the same day, at the same time: Shah Rukh for the release of his biography and Salman for his flick ‘Jaaneman's music release. Apparently it has nothing to do with any type of controversy. But as per the industry insiders, SRK's party, planned just a week ago, was a deliberate attempt to put a spoke in the wheel for the ‘Jaaneman' bash and so a new controversy started making noise.
‘Jaaneman' producer Sajid Nadiadwala was not amused, however. “He took it as a direct challenge by SRK. The ‘Jaaneman' party had been planned two months back and SRK knew about it. The chief minister has been invited …it was not right of him to create such a situation,” said a close friend of Nadiadwala.
But Sanjay Mago, who organized the SRK event, dismissed the conspiracy theory. “The date clashed as we couldn't find a five-star hotel on any other day. Its absolute rubbish that Shah Rukh is deliberately hosting the event on the same day,” he quipped.

Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are going to share screen space for the first time? It's a million-dollar question. However if the rumormongers to be believed, ‘Mangal Pandey' maker Bobby Bedi has signed up the two top Khans for his celluloid version of the mythological saga ‘Mahabharata'.
But when asked, Bobby ruled out the rumour upright. “Talks are still at a very early stage. The casting reports are just speculations and we have not yet arrived at any decision,” said Bedi recently in an interview.

Dhoom made an overnight star out of John Abraham and gave the much-needed lease of life to Abhishek Bachchan's career. Following which, Aditya Chopra launched Dhoom 2 with much fanfare and surprised everyone by signing on Hrithik Roshan in a negative role.

Well the surprises are far from over. Apparently, Aditya Chopra who is mighty impressed with the way Dhoom 2 has shaped up, has already started work on Dhoom 3. The even bigger surprise is that Shah Rukh Khan will play the lead negative role along with Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra in the next sequel, say sources. This news will no doubt put to rest all those rumours of SRK’s falling out with Aditya Chopra.

Pulling out all stops , the Chopras have reportedly also signed on Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor whose first film Saanwariya is yet to be released but has already generated a decent buzz

In addition to the newbies, there will be old favourite Aishwarya Rai who plays the lead character opposite Hrithik in Dhoom-2.

A source in Yash-Raj informs, "Aditya Chopra has seen Dhoom 2 at least 20 times and he loves the movie. In fact, he even delayed the release of Dhoom 2 by one month as he wanted to work a little more on the special effects. He sees great potential in the concept of Dhoom and that's why even before the release of the sequel, he has begun planning the third edition .

However, since Sanjay Gadhvi's three-film contract with Yash-Raj is over (after Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Dhoom and Dhoom 2) and since Gadhvi is making a film for Astavinayak now, it is still not decided who will direct Dhoom 3," he added.

Shahrukh makes ‘bad’ look ‘cool’. I’ve been saying it ever since ‘Don’ promos hit the air. Now, ‘Don’ is about to unveil his no-holds-barred villainous act soon but there’s more good news for SRK fans. According to a well placed source, King Khan will be essaying the bad-guy role in ‘Dhoom 3’. Bollywood is really getting confident when it comes to sequels it seems. For even before the release of ‘Dhoom 2’ the plans are already underway for ‘Dhoom 3’.

Another interesting bit of news is regarding Rishi and Neetu Kapoor’s hot looking son Ranbir Kapoor. He is currently wrapping up his debut venture in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’ but his performance level has impressed the Yashraj banner so much that they’ve signed a three film contract with the Kapoor scion. And one of these films will be ‘Dhoom 3’. And no, Sanjay Gadhvi won’t be directing it.

It seems a lot of Dhoom is in store for all you guys out there….There’s always Vvvvrrrooooommm…For more excitement. Right!

SRK’s mundu matters

king of gimmicks: Shah Rukh Khan
After that endearing thinking cap gimmick, KBC 3 host Shah Rukh Khan is now going a step further (or should we say South?).

In tonight’s episode, he will ditch his formal suit and tie for a traditional mundu (lungi) and surprise Sanjaya K, the rollover contestant from Kerala.

What’s more, he’s going to introduce the show in typical Keralite ishtyle, and will even present Sanjaya with a cricket bat signed by the members of our cricket team.

Sweet. But this KBC 3 host is turning out to be quite the clown, isn’t he? Mind it!
