I though I'd give you guys a heads up on this new chinese flick that is showing at Cannes. Its loosely based on Hamlet with a chinese flair to it with wuxia Martial Arts thrown into it. The trailer looks damn good. Zhang ZiYi from Crouching Tiger, Memoirs of a Geisha, Rush Hour 2 stars. The IMDB gives us this synopsis:<blockquote>A loose adaptation of Hamlet, "The Night Banquet" is set in an empire in chaos. The Emperor, the Empress, the Crown Prince, the Minister and the General all have their own enemies they would like to finish off at a night banquet. </blockquote>
