The highest award and the most prestigious film festival in the world has been given out to "Wind That Shakes Barley". Apparently it was so good that the 9 member jury, headed by Wong Kar-wai voted unanimously for the film. The good folks at Yahoo Movies give us this:<blockquote>British director Ken Loach's "The Wind That Shakes the Barley," a saga set amid Ireland's struggle for independence in the early 1920s, won top honors Sunday at the Cannes Film Festival.</blockquote>The film stars Cillian Murphy, and I've been dying to see it ever since I heard about it a few months ago.
