Prabhu Chawla is the Editor of India Today, India's leading weekly newsmagazine India Today Group and a leading journalist of India.

He is one of India's better-known political journalists, known for his sharp political analysis and investigative reports but he built his career on the back of relationships, notably with his boss Aroon Purie. Today he is an authoritative voice in print and has a show on Aaj Tak called Seedhi Baat where he interviews prominent personalities.

He was awarded Padma Bhushan by the Indian government in 2003. However, his close links with the Bharatiya Janata Party has meant that he has lost some of his influence over decision makers.
