The stylish Feroz Khan kicked off the trend of motor racing adventures in several of his films, starting from ‘Apradh’ in 1972 to ‘Janasheen’ in 2003.


Now, his nephew Zayed Khan seems to have taken over the mantle from his uncle. The charismatic Zayed has driven a Formula 1 car in Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Cash’. He also rode a motorbike for the film. His partner in the action was Esha Deol.


“We rented a Formula 1 car and a motorbike from a local person in Africa. He had about 22 such cars. We shot the climax, the car chase sequence, in South Africa,” says Sinha, adding, “The film demanded such kind of action. Of course, we ended up spending a lot.”


Since F1 cars cannot run on normal roads, except for the specified racing tracks, the makers had to seek special permission. interestingly, another first about ‘Cash’ claims co-producer Anish Ranjan (Seven Entertainment) is that the film will be played out like a video game. “it was Anubhav’s idea to make it appear like a video game, which means a lot of fast-paced action and technical slickness,” says Ranjan. The joint venture between Seven Entertainment and producer Sohail Maklai also stars Ajay Devgan and Ritiesh Deshmukh.
